LONG DOG UPDATE: LAYLA’S SPINAL SURGERY

The middle Long Dog assistant, Layla, had to go in for spinal surgery last week for Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD).

It was a worrying time, but the good news is that she seems to have come through surgery okay. A long recovery time ahead, but she is already making progress. She has to be confined to a pen, but can be taken on very short, assisted walks for toileting etc.

Fingers crossed that she will continue to make progress. In the meantime, the other dogs are enjoying crowding her in the pen!
